Faced with the daunting task of serving breakfast and dinner daily to 400 homeless and low-income men, women and families, he invigorated the Center's meal service by bringing a health-conscious approach to the menu. His philosophy that "you are what you eat" spun off with the development of The Culinary Training Program, an intensive, 8-week curriculum and 4-week internship at a local restaurant kitchen. Chef Timothy was recently awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Community Service Award by Sullivan University for his tireless efforts to improve the lives of those less fortunate, while demonstrating inordinate talent and distinction in his personal and professional life. This was the first time in Sullivan's history that a graduate received both awards at the same time. Plans are in the works for his Culinary Training Program to be a nationwide model of education and career placement for the disadvantaged.
